Training

Trained before you arrive, not learning on a guest.

Every candidate we place completes training before their first shift. It is free if we place you, it runs in Limassol and Paphos between January and April, and the online version is available to candidates applying from abroad.

HostLaneCY hospitality training session

Courses

Four courses, mapped to the departments that hire

You take Hospitality Foundations plus the department course that matches your placement. Nothing here is theory for its own sake — every module exists because a Cyprus property told us new starters were getting it wrong.

Language

Language is the single biggest lever on your offer

In Cyprus hospitality, the gap between a housekeeping wage and a front office wage is often just confident English. We treat language as a core part of training, not an optional extra.

  • Hotel English

The 400 words and twenty dialogues that cover 90% of a shift: arrival, complaint, switchboard, allergen questions, directions and departure. Assessed at the end, and the level goes on your profile so a property knows exactly what it is getting.

  • Survival Greek

Enough Greek for internal communication, suppliers, transport and daily life outside the property. Not a language qualification — a working vocabulary you can use in week one.

  • Guest-mix languages

Short refresher modules in Russian, Polish, German and Hebrew hospitality phrases, run when a partner property's guest mix calls for them. These are the modules that most reliably raise an offer.
