What role are you looking for?

Cyprus hotels hire in department blocks, not one role at a time. Pick the part of the property you want to work in — we will tell you honestly what the shifts, the pay and the season length actually look like.

Two ways in

Looking for work, or looking for staff?

HostLaneCY runs both sides of the same desk. That is deliberate — the people we train are the people we place, so an employer knows exactly what arrives and a candidate knows exactly where they are going.

What we help with

The parts of a season that go wrong without help

Finding a job in Cyprus hospitality is the easy half. The half that catches people out is paperwork, housing and the first fortnight on the floor. That is where most of our work happens.

  • Contracts you can read

Every placement gets a written Cyprus contract in English alongside the Greek original — hours, rest days, overtime rate, season end date and notice period. We go through it line by line before you sign anything.

  • Work permits and registration

For non-EU candidates we prepare the employer-sponsored permit file with the property and track it through the Civil Registry and Migration Department. EU arrivals get help with the yellow slip, social insurance and a Cyprus tax number.

  • Accommodation before arrival

Most seasonal roles include staff housing or a rent allowance. We confirm which one applies, what it costs, how far it is from the property and whether transport is provided — in writing, before you accept.

  • Language for the floor

Hotel English is a specific vocabulary. Our courses cover check-in dialogue, complaint handling, allergen questions and switchboard manner, plus survival Greek and the Russian phrases repeat guests expect.

  • Service standards training

Two to five days before your first shift: grooming and greeting, sequence of service, room standards, HACCP basics, GDPR for guest data, and what a five-star audit actually checks.

  • Support through the season

A placement consultant stays assigned to you until the season closes. Pay dispute, housing problem, or a rota that breaks your contract — message your consultant and we deal with the property directly.

The Cyprus season

Hospitality here runs on a calendar. So do we.

Cyprus tourism is seasonal by nature — Paphos and Limassol trade close to year-round, while Ayia Napa and Protaras swing from near-empty in February to full in August. Knowing where you are in that cycle is the difference between a job that starts on time and one that falls apart in April.

The Cyprus coastline where our partners operate
  1. Nov – Jan

    Briefs open

Properties confirm next season's headcount. We collect vacancy briefs, agreed pay bands and accommodation terms, and start screening returning staff first.

  2. Feb – Mar

    Interviews and permits

Shortlists go out, interviews run on site and on video, and permit files for non-EU candidates are lodged early — this is the step that decides whether someone starts on time.

  3. Mar – Apr

    Training and arrival

Pre-season courses in Limassol and Paphos, accommodation keys handed over, uniforms fitted, and property inductions before the first guests land at Easter.

  4. May – Sep

    Peak season

Full occupancy, six-day weeks in August, and top-up hiring in July when properties lose staff. Your consultant checks in monthly and handles anything that goes sideways.

  5. Oct – Nov

    Season close

Final pay and holiday balances checked, references written, and re-engagement offers issued. Seventy-eight percent of our seasonal staff are invited back for the following year.
